Advanced Chemical Analysis & Environmental Testing Laboratory
The Chemistry Laboratory at CHMESR delivers high-precision qualitative and quantitative chemical testing for environmental, industrial, and geochemical matrices complying with international standard protocols (Standard Methods for the Examination of Water and Wastewater / US-EPA / ASTM).
Accredited Chemical Testing & Analytical Procedures:
- Gravimetric Particulate Mass Analysis (PM2.5 & PM10): Weighing quartz fiber filters utilizing 5-decimal analytical microbalances inside temperature- and humidity-controlled clean weighing chambers.
- Heavy Metals & Lead Determination: Acid microwave digestion of air filters, soil, and wastewater samples followed by Inductively Coupled Plasma Optical Emission Spectrometry (ICP-OES) for Pb, Cd, Ni, Cr, Hg, and Zn.
- Ion Chromatography (IC): Utilizing Thermo Scientific Dionex Ion Chromatography systems for precision quantification of sulfates (SO4), nitrates (NO3), and chlorides (Cl).
- Black Smoke & Soot Reflectance: Measuring particulate black carbon loading and optical reflectance using digital Smokestain Reflectometers.
- Dustfall Deposition Monitoring: Monthly gravimetric and compositional profiling of settleable atmospheric dustfall jars.
- Drinking Water, Industrial Wastewater, and Groundwater Testing: Comprehensive diagnostic panel detailed in the following table:
